New Mandatory USPS Requirements
for All Mailings
You may be aware that the USPS has issued new mandatory regulations that affect Mailing Lists effective November 23, 2008. The new requirements are called "Move Update Standards" and are intended to help minimize the problems of incorrect addresses on mail delivery. (See Postal Bulletin 22217 for more detailed information)
All mailing service companies (including Cottrell) are now required to submit any Mailing Lists for certification and compliance by the USPS prior to the actual mail drop date. Since this processing could range from 2 to 3 days, it is important that your Mail Lists be sent to Cottrell several days prior to your requested/scheduled mail drop date. Otherwise, your mailing will be delayed until certification is received.
You will find links below with the "Certification of Move Update Compliance" and the "NCOA Link Processing Acknowledgement" forms which must be completed, signed, and returned to Cottrell. We must have these forms returned to us as soon as possible in order to process any of your future mailings.
